Mikey Yeah is myself, a multi-disciplinarian designer. I am equally at home creating with Motion, Web, Print, Photography, Social Media as well as Audio Visual. Visually, I love the simplicity of Scandinavian design, as well as the delicious excess of things such vintage Hot Rods and motorcycles. Somewhere in between these two seeming extremes, is where I like to place myself and my work for my clients. I find myself drawn to that which is created with seams, slightly rough edges at times, a sense of how it was put together, whilst still retaining an air of mystery in its togetherness. My design clients have included such companies as Vice Magazine/ Puma, Sneaker Freaker Magazine/Adidas, Cable&Wireless Worldwide as well as smaller personal clients.
I have also donated my services to various interest groups, such as Melbourne Cafe Racers. These have been delivered personally 1on1 or via online client liaisons. In addition, I’ve also worked in the extensively for 12 years in the Audio Visual/ Entertainment industry and have experience in working with sound/lighting/video at a national and international level via touring festivals, museum exhibition installation and corporate AV. These experiences have given me a lot of experience in attention to detail, working to short & strict deadlines and in difficult circumstances, as well as the abilities to work in teams, small & large, to take direction well, and to handle feedback, criticism and to assume responsibility. When not designing or shooting photos, I’m also a keen motorcycle rider & in my spare time I can be found applying an attentive eye on details on custom motorcycle building, portrait photography and music.
